Hi there! I'm John Trampe, a UX/UI Designer based in Edmonton, Canada.
Switched from developer to designer
Tech savvy with IT experience
Handle pressure and fast pace work environment
Loves talking about sneakers I can't afford
Here's my story
Before getting into the UX/UI world, I studied and graduated as a Web Developer. While studying web development, I discovered that I am more into the design process rather than the coding part. As I was browsing on Tiktok, I stumbled upon UX/UI videos and I knew right then, that it was my calling to go into the UX/UI industry.
I am a tech savvy person, because I love keeping up to date in the tech field and learning new technologies. I also have experience working within an IT team, fixing desktop related issues and setting up work stations for employees.
I have been working for almost 10 years now from food service and retail to warehouse and IT support for the Government of Alberta, and finally as a UX/UI Designer for startups. Throughout my working years, I have handled different kinds of work environments that requires to handle work pressure and very fast paced working environments. I have learned to handle it very well that I got used to it.
I also love talking about shoes and when I see them in person, I'm just mesmerized by it. Only bad thing, is I can't afford sneakers that I want, because they're resell price is just too expensive.
